Heritage chevrolet is excited to offer this 2017 chevrolet colorado. When chevrolet created this vehicle with 4 wheel drive, they immediately enhanced the performance ability. It is incomparable for the price and quality. That said, the colorado is available in a couple of cab and bed styles, allowing it to stretch out and haul more cargo depending on the individual trim ordered with the vehicle. Starting under $21,000 the chevrolet colorado competes closely with the toyota tacoma and nissan frontier as a truck that can both haul cargo and drive around in the city without any serious concerns about parking or street size. Strengths of this model include small truck utility, three engine choices, all featuring good fuel economy, technology laden features, and car-like ride and handling. 2002 chevrolet silverado 1500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Car-like drivability with traditional truck styling. introductionthe chevrolet silverado is the second-best-selling pickup in america, but that still adds up to a lot of trucks. This truck is every bit as technically advanced, every bit as car-like and user-friendly as its aero-look competitors. It rides, handles, and stops as well as, maybe better than, the best of them. Silverado prices still start about $700 below ford's f-150. Three trim levels are available: base, ls, and lt. The so-called half-ton range includes both the 1500 series, with actual payloads ranging from 1593 to 2334 pounds (depending on bed, cab, and drive configuration), and the heavier-duty 2500 series with payloads in the 2600-3200-pound range.  silverado 1500 models are available with a 4. 3-liter v6, 4. 8-liter v8, or 5. 3-liter v8. The 1500 hd crew cab and 2500 are powered exclusively by a 6. 0-liter v8.  (three-quarter-ton silverados are badged 2500hd and 3500, and offer payloads up to 6089 pounds. Look for those in a separate nctd. Com review.). walkaroundsilverado's frame is the stiffest and lightest truck frame general motors has ever built. The front frame rails are hydroformed, a process that uses high-pressure hydraulics to shape large and complex components that used to be fabricated from smaller stampings. Tubular crossmembers and roll-formed mid-rails increase rigidity even more. This stiff structure enhances handling and ride quality immensely, while improving crashworthiness.  the front suspension comprises aluminum upper and lower control arms, with coil springs on two-wheel-drive 1500s. These feature a delayed-upshift mode for towing. They are excellent transmissions. interiorlike its exterior design, silverado's interior reflects traditional chevrolet thinking. The doors and door openings are the largest in the industry, and the cab is the roomiest.  the instrument package looks like a cross between a corvette's and a traditional pickup's. All use pleasant, highly legible white-on-black graphics.  the sound-system control panel is located above the climate controls. There are three 12-volt outlets at the bottom center of the dashboard for radar detectors, cellular telephones, laptop computers, and other accessories.  an lt extended cab we drove awhile back came with six-way power front bucket seats with seat heaters and memory. Air conditioning outlets and a set of drop-down cup holders are built in for rear-seat passengers. A compass is incorporated into the lt's overhead console, along with three storage areas for sunglasses, garage door opener, and small items. When cargo capacity is more important than hauling passengers, the entire rear seat assembly can be removed with a wrench and lifted out through the door.  a more recent drive in a 1500 hd crew cab revealed a really comfortable truck. The back seats are roomy and comfortable, very similar to those in an uplevel suburban. The seats were trimmed in handsome leather and they could be flipped down to provide a big, secure cargo area. This is a great truck for someone who wants a roomy rear seat with interior cargo space and big trailer-towing capability.  about the only thing we don't like about the silverado interior is the design of the interior door handles, which swivel through an up-and-in arc, and felt loose whenever we used them. The system calls for assistance automatically if the truck's airbags have deployed. driving impressionsilverado lt drives like a luxury car and is supremely smooth and quiet. That smooth, quiet, unified feel is largely due to the stiff frame, which isolates the running gear for reduced noise and vibration. A cast magnesium beam behind the instrument panel and a lateral steel beam between the magnesium beam and the right side of the dash further reinforce the stiff body. Squeaks and rattles simply don't happen. This is one strong truck, and its chassis rigidity allows the suspension to soak up and manage bumps and ruts and tar strips so well that its overall ride behavior is near the luxury class. A long, 143-inch wheelbase improves the ride further and enhances high-speed stability.  the 1500hd crew cab model does not ride quite as smoothly. Even the rack-and-pinion system has a fairly wide dead spot in the center when cruising, which chevrolet says is designed to minimize steering corrections on the highway. That's enough grunt to smoke the rear tires at will. We recommend the 5. 3 over the smaller 4. 8. The big 6. 0-liter v8 that comes on the 1500hd delivers a ton of torque for pulling big, heavy trailers.  braking hasn't been a traditional strong point for u. S.-built pickups, but here again the silverado breaks from tradition. Braking force begins only an inch into the pedal travel. A new feature called dynamic rear proportioning improves stability under heavy braking, whether the truck is loaded or empty. Anyone used to the brakes in the previous-generation chevy pickups and full-size suvs should be very pleased with the brake-pedal response and stopping performance. summarychevrolet silverado is overall the best among full-size pickups. Chevy's full-size silverado pickups are among the smoothest, quietest, most civilized, best equipped, and most enjoyable trucks we've driven. model lineup1500 2wd: short box regular cab 17,518); short box extended cab 22,537); ls short box extended cab 24,484); lt long box extended cab 29,658);r1500 4wd: ls short box regular cab 23,724); lt long box extended cab 32,778);2500 2wd: ls long box regular cab 24,314);r2500 4wd: lt short box extended cab 34,123). assembled inpontiac, michigan; fort wayne, indiana; oshawa, ontario, canada. model testedlt short box extended cab 29,358). 2007 chevrolet avalanche review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All-new version is a much tighter ship. introductionthe chevy avalanche has been redesigned and re-engineered for 2007 and the new version is vastly superior to its predecessor. The new avalanche rewards its driver with taut handling. It's well designed throughout with impressive attention to detail. The previous-generation avalanche was good. This new one is better.  the avalanche is and always has been one of a kind. It successfully combines the hauling capacity of a long-bed pickup with the comfort of a five-passenger sport utility vehicle. It switches between these roles using its ingenious midgate, a removable rear bulkhead between the passenger compartment and the pickup bed. Along with a hard, tonneau-like bed cover, the midgate allows the avalanche to be configured as a tahoe-sized sport utility with a short bed. Fold down the rear seats and open the midgate and it's like a pickup with an enclosed eight-foot bed, capable of securing valuable gear from thieves or shielding drywall from weather. Remove the rear glass and the tonneau panels and it's a sporty, open-air truck capable of hauling an atv.  for 2007, none of this practicality changes, including, for the most part, its workhorse capabilities. It's as long as a chevy suburban and can haul a lot of stuff, with payloads over 1,300 pounds and a bed designed for abuse.  handling and ride quality are greatly improved, thanks to updated underpinnings. The previous-generation avalanche handled well for a truck its size, but this new one handles much better.  a major redesign gives the cab a more car-like look and feel, with a classier dash and more comfortable seats. Combined with better-integrated driver-assist and entertainment features, the creature comfort upgrades are as welcome as the modernized mechanicals. Also, the midgate, removable rear window, tonneau covers and other features seem to snap together even better than before and everything appears to be of high quality.  finally, there's the facelift. This cleaner, quieter, more mature look says as much as any of the other updates, upgrades and new technology about the vision chevy has for its future. It's a vision with high promise. The heavy-duty avalanche 2500 has been discontinued and is no longer available.  the ls 2wd 31,790) is the entry-level avalanche, along with the ls 4wd 34,790). Seats are cloth covered benches, front and rear; the front splits 40/20/40 with a six-way power driver's seat and manual recline on both driver and passenger seat, the rear 60/40. Standard features include dual-zone air conditioning, the usual array of powered utilities including the tailgate lock, multi-media stereo radio, leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel, front and rear seat carpeted floor mats, two auxiliary power outlets, ready-to-tow trailer setup and p265/70r17 all-season tires on aluminum wheels. Notable options include a stereo upgrade adding an in-dash, six-cd changer 300); xm satellite radio with pre-paid, three-month trial subscription 199); power adjustable pedals 120) with rear park assist 245); luggage rack 195) and cross rails 45); auto-lock rear differential 295); and white-letter highlighted tires 125). Also, but only on the ls, is a delete-option (-$600) soft cargo cover in place of the standard three-piece, hard cover.  the lt 2wd 32,490) and 4wd 35,490) feature an upgraded interior with cloth bucket seats, six-way power adjustments for the driver's seat, manual recline on both seats, a center console, and rear-seat audio controls with dual headphone jacks. Halogen fog lamps are standard. A front bench seat is a no-cost option. Options in addition to those for the ls include: automatic, dual-zone climate control 195); dvd-based rear-seat entertainment system with remote and wireless headphones 1295); touch-screen, dvd-based navigation system with voice recognition 2250); bose premium speaker system 495); power, tilt-and-slide sunroof 995); universal remote transmitter 105); and p275/55r20 blackwall tires on polished aluminum wheels 1795).  option packages for the lt include 2lt 2,040) with automatic climate control system, the universal remote, the six-cd stereo, leather upholstery, power adjustable pedals, rear parking assist and remote vehicle starter. In addition, a rear-view camera system 250) is available with the 2lt package. Rain-sensing windshield wipers 95) and a heated wiper washer fluid system 85) can be ordered with the 3lt package.  the ltz 2wd 39,225) and 4wd 42,225) come standard with most of the equipment that's optional on the other two models. Also standard is a premium suspension package with variable shock damping and air-assisted rear load leveling. Power retractable running boards 1,095) are optional. The luggage rack crossrails are optional, along with the rear-view camera system, the sunroof, the rear-seat entertainment system and the navigation system.  safety features that come standard on all models include the required front-seat airbags and latch rear-seat child safety seat anchors. The onstar crash-notification system is standard. Full-coverage, side-curtain airbags that protect against head injuries in side impacts and rollovers are optional 350) on the ls and the lt, including the 2lt treatment, and standard on the 3lt and ltz. Act. walkaroundthe chevy avalanche is a truck, and it's a big truck. In fact, the avalanche is just an inch shorter than a chevy suburban. (okay, it's 1. 1 inches shorter.) the avalanche rides on the gmt900 platform, meaning it shares its basic structure with the chevy suburban, tahoe, silverado and other full-size gm pickups and suvs. The new 2007 avalanche doesn't look as massive the first-generation (2002-2006) models did, even when they were ordered without the side cladding. In practical terms, the new avalanche is just as big as the previous-generation models. (to be exact, the new one is 0. 4 inches shorter.)  the 2007 avalanche features some significant styling and design changes, though many of the changes are subtle. A fresh face brightens the front end. Thick, horizontal lines emphasizing the substantial girth remain, but are now integrated well with the body-colored grille and headlight surrounds. Lighting elements share space in single units, replacing the previous model's bifurcated assemblages. A bold bow-tie icon graces the grille crossbar. A high-relief lower fascia houses tow hooks and tries to look like the leading edge of a skid plate (which, by the way, is not offered by the factory, even on the 4wd version).  the side aspect is mightily spruced up, with a faster, more laid-back windshield leading to smooth, gracefully sculpted flanks topped by understated, flush-mounted windows. Gaps between body panels are tight. Full-round door handles accommodate gloved hands. Squarish wheel wells look underfilled, even with the optional 20-inch wheels. Essential as the signature feature of the avalanche is the angular, hard plastic bed cover with the flying buttresses arcing down from the roofline to the bed sidewalls; it's the only design cue that clashes with the sleeker look of the new model.  the tailgate presents a more traditional pickup look than that of the previous models. It's less stylized, with bumper and release assembly now painted body color. That assembly also now functions as a base for the optional rearview camera. Chevy says this can help a solo driver hitch up a trailer; we haven't tested this yet, but it could save a lot of trial and error. We have used the rearview camera for parallel parking and other maneuvers in tight quarters and can attest to its value. This system is not a gadget. It speeds parking and maneuvering and can help alert the driver to the presence of a child or adult behind the truck. The tailgate is now spring loaded to lighten its perceived weight, but it still seemed heavier than its countersprung counterparts on the ford f-150 and the new 2007 toyota tundra. interiorthe new interior of the 2007 avalanche breaks with chevy tradition much more than the exterior does. The new cabin marks a watershed in ease of use, not to mention ease on the eye.  following a pattern established in the new tahoe and suburban, the interior designers slashed several inches from the top of the dash, rounded it off and smoothed it out, effectively pushing it down and away from the front seat occupants. Everything about the dash and instrument cluster is leaner, cleaner, dare we say it, more like a car's. 2006 chevrolet silverado 1500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Solid truck priced to sell. introductionthe 2006 chevy silverado is the last of its generation. An all-new generation of trucks is being introduced for 2007. So look for deals on the outgoing 2006 classic versions. The 2006 silverado rides well and handles well. It's quick and it's comfortable. Boxed and hydroformed frame rails provide a strong, rigid platform. It is, as the advertising tagline says, like a rock. Heated seats, a bose stereo, xm satellite radio and other options make long days spent in a silverado comfortable and enjoyable.  silverado benefitted from some significant revisions for 2005. Lower-profile tires on 17-inch wheels provided better handling than before. A gas/electric hybrid option promised lower operating cost with v8 performance. More minor changes for 2005 included dual electric cooling fans, which are quieter and more efficient than the engine-driven fan used previously; while aerodynamic refinements to the front end and running boards reduced wind noise and promised a slight improvement in fuel economy. Since then, ford has introduced an all-new f-150, dodge has re-engineered the ram, nissan has rolled out the appropriately named titan, and toyota has joined the fray with the biggest tundra ever. There isn't a dog among them. Three trim levels are available: base, ls, and lt, plus a sporty ss. Full-width fleetside beds are standard, but retro sportside beds are offered for selected models. Avaialble only as a crew cab with a 6-foot, 6-inch bed (instead of the standard 1500 crew cab's 5-foot, 8-inch bed), the 1500hd hauls 3,073 pounds with 2wd, 2,766 pounds with 4wd, and tows 10,200 pounds. Power is provided by the big 6. 0-liter v8 that's used in the 2500hd/3500.  standard equipment on all silverado models, even the most basic w/t (work truck), are air conditioning, am/fm stereo, tilt steering, a chromed front bumper, painter rear step bumber, and 17-inch painted steel wheels.  moving up to ls trim (starting at $19,725) adds cloth instead of vinyl upholstery, a cd player, and an expanded list of options. Ls crew cabs 24,615) come with the 4. 8-liter v8 and automatic. Silverado lt (starting at $23,000) is more luxurious, with upgraded upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power windows, locks and mirrors. Again the crew cab version 28,165) comes with more, including an upgraded six-speaker stereo. The 5. 3-liter v8 is standard on lt crew cabs. Lt2 and lt3 option packages add yet more equipment, but both price and specific content depend on cab style, driveline, and other factors. Ss gets a high-performance z60 chassis package; 20-inch wheels and tires; full-time all-wheel drive; a lower, wider stance; and special exterior and interior trim.  a hybrid option 1,500) is available in several states. Crew cab models offer a panasonic dvd passenger entertainment system 1,295) and rear-seat audio controls. Late in the model year, extended cabs and crew cabs will offer a power sunroof 795). A passenger-sensing system automatically deactivates the passenger-side front air bag under certain conditions to protect children. Active safety features include anti-lock brakes (abs) on all models. The silverado shares its bold design cues with the avalanche, the trailblazer suv, and the mid-size colorado pickup. The silverado looks more conteporary than the relatively conservative suburban and tahoe suvs.  silverado's headlights angle down at the top like the determined eyebrows of a marine drill sergeant. A large band runs across the middle of the grille punctuated in the middle by a big, gold chevy bow tie. All of this is smoothly integrated into the front end, along with spaces for fog lamps and recessed tow hooks. The flared engine hood and squared-off wheel openings continue the aggressive theme down the sides of the truck. In the rear are bulging taillamps that maintain the chevrolet family look yet uniquely identify the silverado.  silverado's large door openings make getting in and out easier, and the door handles are big and easy to grab. Optional puddle lamps mounted beneath the big side mirrors light the ground along the sides of the truck, handy in the woods and in the city. Heavy-duty models have running lights on the roof, tailgate, and leading and trailing edges of their bulging rear fenders. They add visibility for improved safety. Indentations stamped into the inner bed walls can hold boards to form bulkhead dividers or a second floor for two-tier loading. The silverado's load floor is 31. 6 inches above the ground on 2wd models, and 33. 7 inches with 4wd. That's relatively low, and low is good when loading heavy cargo. Short-box beds are 78. 7 inches long; long boxes are 97. 6 inches long. Fleetside boxes are 64. 8 inches wide (at the floor); sportside boxes measure 49. 1 inches wide. All fleetside boxes measure 50 inches wide between the wheel housings.  a pro-tec composite box is available for silverado 1500 extended cab short-box models. Pro-tec is a nearly indestructible material that's lighter and stronger than steel. It never rusts and it resists dents. It can support a lot more weight than a steel tailgate. interiorinside, the silverado is roomy and comfortable. The seats are big and cushy, though we don't always find them comfortable for long trips. The standard front bench seat can seat three, giving extended cab and crew cab models capacity for six people. It's split 40/20/40, and the middle part folds down to become a center console/armrest. There's lots of head room and plenty of leg room, hip room, and shoulder room. The standard bench is available in cloth or vinyl.  optional bucket seats are more comfortable and adjust every which way. We like both the premium cloth and the leather. The bucket seats are separated by a deep center console that holds lots of stuff. The top of the lid features a nice rubber-lined indention handy for small items, though it would be even better if the rubber was an insert that could be removed for cleaning. The top of the console is angled forward, which seems unfortunate because clipboards and other items placed there tend to slide off. A big coat hook makes picking up the dry cleaning easier.  the instrument panel features a large speedometer and tachometer. Smaller gauges to the right display oil pressure, water temperature, fuel quantity, and battery charge. Hd models with the heavy-duty trailering package come with a transmission temperature gauge on the left. All use highly legible white-on-black graphics. Headlamps and taillamps turn on automatically when it gets dark. The manually controlled sy. 2005 chevrolet silverado 1500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Standing like a rock against new competition. introductionthe choice for best full-size pickup is not as clear as it was three years ago, when the chevrolet silverado and the gmc sierra appeared to be the leaders of the pack. Since then, ford has introduced an all-new f-150, dodge has re-engineered the ram, toyota has added a crew cab model to its tundra line, and nissan has rolled out the appropriately named titan. There isn't a dog among them. All are superb in their own way.  yet silverado still rides as well or better than any of them, and it handles well. It's quick and it's comfortable. Boxed and hydroformed frame rails give silverado a strong, rigid platform. It is, as the advertising tagline says, like a rock. Silverado's interior was significantly updated in 2003, and so was its electrical system. Heated seats, a bose stereo, xm satellite radio and other options make long days spent in a silverado comfortable and enjoyable.  for 2005, most silverados come with wider, lower-profile tires on 17-inch wheels, promising better handling than before. Short-box extended cabs with 4wd now offer a more powerful all-alumium v8, while a gas/electric hybrid option promises lower operating cost with v8 performance. More minor changes for 2005 include dual electric cooling fans, which are quieter and more efficient than the engine-driven fan used previously. Power is provided by the big 6. 0-liter v8 that's used in the 2500hd/3500.  standard equipment on all silverado models are cruise control, cd player, a step bumper, and 17-inch chromed steel wheels. The w/t (work truck) package, intended primarily for commercial and municipal fleet sales, deletes these niceties for an average credit of $1,600.  moving up to ls trim (starting at $25,265) adds a long list of comforts and appointments, including power windows, locks and mirrors; upgraded audio and upholstery; and the 4. 8-liter v8 with automatic transmission. Ls crew cabs come with the 5. 3-liter v8 and automatic. Silverado lt (starting at $32,965) is downright luxurious, with leather upholstery, automatic climate control, bose audio, and a new version of the onstar telematics system. The 5. 3-liter v8 is standard on all lt models.  the z71 off-road package includes full ls trim, plus special off-road suspension, locking rear differential, p265/70r17 on/off-road tires, skid plates, high-capacity air cleaner, wheel flares, fog lamps, and deep-tinted glass.  silverado ss is a performance model equipped with a high-output 345 horsepower vortec 6000 6. 0-liter engine designed for quick acceleration and relaxed cruising. Crew cab models offer a panasonic dvd passenger entertainment system 1,295) and rear-seat audio controls. Late in the model year, extended cabs and crew cabs will offer a power sunroof 1,100). Pro-tec tailgates can support a lot more weight than steel tailgates. interiorinside, the silverado is roomy and comfortable. A driver information center, located in the instrument panel cluster, provides various bits of information, i. 2010 chevrolet silverado 1500 review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Detail enhancements for chevy's full-size pickup. introductionthe chevy silverado needs no introduction. A 3. 08:1 axle ratio and fuel saver mode is standard with the 5. 3-liter v8 for improved fuel economy, resulting in 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway for 2wd models. There is e85 flexfuel capability on the 4. 8-liter, 5. 3-liter, and 6. 2-liter engines. Variable valve timing on the 4. 8-liter and 5. 3-liter engines improves fuel economy. A six-speed automatic transmission is on regular cab and extended cab models with the 5. 3-liter v8. Usb connectivity is on all except the base radios. Xfe versions feature aerodynamic upgrades in the form of a soft bed cover and extended front air dam, plus aluminum wheels (including the spare) and lower front suspension arms, locking rear differential, and low rolling resistance tires. Epa ratings are 21/22 mpg. Lt models can be upgraded with premium cloth front bucket seats with six-way power adjustment, dual-zone automatic temperature controls, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, fog lamps, aluminum wheels, chromed bumper, and a spare tire lock.  the ltz 35,280 for extended cab, 2wd) adds heavy-duty trailering equipment, an automatic locking rear differential, body-colored bumpers, reclining and heated leather front seats with 12-way power, an in-dash six-cd changer with bose speakers, 18-inch wheels, turn signal indicators in the exterior rearview mirrors and heated windshield washers.  extended cab and crew cab models have back seats and windows in the side doors that power down. The extended cab has rear access doors hinged at the rear that open to 170 degrees to provide full access to the rear seating area. The regular cab can be outfitted with a standard bed (6-foot, 6-inch) or long bed (8-foot). The short bed (5-foot, 8-inch) is the only bed available on the crew cab.  five suspensions are available: z83 is the standard setup designed for a smooth ride; z85 is a little firmer for enhanced handling and towing; z71 is for off-road driving and includes 18-inch wheels; z60 is for maximum street performance and includes 20-inch wheels; nht is for maximum towing capacity (bigger rear axle with locking differential, hd cooling, and so forth) and includes high-capacity rear springs as well as all-terrain tires.  option prices vary by trim level and body style. Among them: a power sliding sunroof 995), 20-inch wheels/suspension 1,045), a power sliding rear window 250), rear-seat entertainment system 1,480), and navigation system 2,250). Options on lesser models include the locking differential 325) and various levels of towing packages.  safety features on all silverado models include dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, tire-pressure monitoring system, side-curtain airbags, and stabilitrak electronic stability control with rollover mitigation technology. walkaroundthe chevy silverado may not have the aggressive styling of some other pickups, but its upright design may be considered appealing to its faithful customers, and they buy hundreds of thousands of silverados each year. We think it's quite attractive.  a raked windshield (angled at 57 degrees) and careful aerodynamic and body-building engineering make the truck quiet on the inside and contribute to fuel efficiency. Gm boasts that the silverado and gmc sierra are the first full-size trucks to offer both 300 horsepower and epa highway ratings of 20 miles per gallon or better.  the large, gold chevy bowtie badge is set against a wide, three-bar chrome grille. The grille is flanked by stacked headlights sporting the latest reflector optics. The front bumper incorporates rectangular fog lights.  the hood has a wide power dome. Bulging front fenders wrap over the front wheels and incorporate the headlights within their forward sweep. Likewise, the rear quarter panels are punctuated by large faired wheel wells.  the rear view of the truck features stacked tail lights on either side of a tall tailgate that has a sculpted center section that mimics and inverts the shape of the fender flares.  built on what general motors calls its gmt900 platform, the silverado shares much of its underpinnings with the tahoe suv, though the pickup gets a unique rear suspension and a frame section 245-percent stiffer than that of the suv. The current silverado chassis is far more rigid than that of the previous generation, which allows the engineers to reduce the gaps between the truck bed and passenger compartment and between fenders and bumpers. This stiffer frame also allows suspension components to be designed for improved ride and handling characteristics as well as allowing enhanced aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.  the front suspension uses coil-over shock absorbers (rather than torsion bars) and the rack-and-pinion steering gear is mounted to the engine cross member to provide enhanced control and feedback. The silverado benefits from a rear axle design featuring shocks absorbers mounted outboard and more upright for better dynamic control than that of the previous-generation models. interiorthe silverado wt, ls and lt come with what chevy calls the pure pickup interior while the ltz features a more luxurious interior.  the pure pickup interior is more driver and work oriented, includes two glove boxes in the dashboard, one of them just about the right size to hold a pair of work gloves and a few small items, and a 40/20/40-split front bench seat with the center section of the seat back folding down to form a wide arm rest with lots of storage capacity. This interior features large switchgear controls and interior door handles designed to be easily manipulated even while wearing bulky gloves.  the more luxury-oriented interior includes bucket seats with a permanent center console with 20 liters of storage capacity. The center stack puts ventilation and audio controls within easy site and reach of the front seat passenger. This version has a single glove box in the dash.  xm satellite radio with current traffic conditions and bluetooth may be ordered, or alternately, onstar 8. 0 with destination download and turn-by-turn navigation. We like both.  extended cab models feature stadium-style seating with an elevated view for those sitting in the second row. Both the extended cab and crew cab versions offer plenty of rear legroom. The rear-seat bottoms can be easily folded up to provide more room on the floor for cargo. It's a smooth, cohesive design.
